Easter Haiku

Happy Easter day
with the bunnies and the eggs
and also some Peeps

the Gentiles have to
get dressed up to go to church
on this spring morning

little kids go hunt
for eggs among the tulips
unless it's raining

then they're all inside
driving the adults insane
holy sugar high

and today, alas,
The Tournament continues
Duke-less. A sad thing.

But I will move on.
I'll wipe my tears and chow down.
(Deviled eggs, indeed.)

sunny Easter day
