Draggletail: I'm a girl who lives in the mountains, a sometime freelance writer, a sucker for TV and pop culture, and an avid reader. In its initial incarnation (see posts from 2005-2007), this blog started out as a way to track my reading during a couple of 50 Book Challenges. I am trying it again this year (2010) but it is mainly just a space to keep track of my reading, or whatever else grabs me. Thanks for stopping by.

I was inclined to cut Tom some slack on the weirdness of the TomKat relationship/media blitz but it is completely irresponsible for him to say 'there is no such thing as a chemical imbalance'. Tell that to someone who has lived with a manic depressive or schizophrenic. Anyone taking bets on how long before Tom comes out with a remake of John Travolta's Battlefield Earth?
He is completely off his rocker. He really doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm sorry that Matt let him off that easy, but maybe Matt was scared.
I had the same reaction to Lauer--couldn't believe he let him off that easy--but then I thought, there's no way any interviewer could anticipate Tom Friggin Cruise completely losing it that way, so how do you prepare intelligent follow-up questions? Next time a semi-coherent interviewer gets a chance, it may be more interesting...
Matt saying that Tom has really done his research and seems very knowledgeable is the giveaway - Lauer was in survival mode. He was just trying to get out of the interview alive!
How is the TomKat freakshow going to end? At some point, doesn't just come on some show and tell the world tht it's not going to work out because he's gay?
Laurer looks like he wants to lean over and stab Cruise with that pen :) Seriously - Cruise has gone from being mildly annoying to being a full-on freak. Such a shame, because I was just starting to like him as an actor.
